As a New York City resident I am very picky about my purses. Why? Well..
- It needs to be lightweight. I walk and walk and walk some more all day and I don’t know about you all but I lug around enough stuff in my purse that the purse itself doesn’t need to add any weight to that.
- It needs to zip. I don’t need to worry about someone getting into my gaping bag when I’m not looking or something falling out while I’m slouched on the subway.
- It needs to look good. Come on its NY
Here are my faves:
Roberta Pieri. I discovered this purse in a great shop on the Upper East Side. I get a ton of complements on mine and the colors are so fun. It kinds of reminds me of a Goyard.

For when you want to be handsfree I like this stylish backpack from Knomo.
MCM Visetos Pouch
I like this crossbody, it’s small enough to not obstruct movement and keep you handsfree but big enough to carry around a few more things than the standard phone, wallet, keys combo and has a couple little compartments and it has the fancy feel of Louis without the price of one and not something everyone already has.
